God gave us free will. This means he gave us the ability to make our own decisions, decisions that may or may not be in alignment with Divine Will, which is the will — the force — that serves love, compassion, truth, mercy, grace, joy, peace, freedom… the highest and greatest good of all.
After generations of conditioning and generations of built up fear, condemnation, shame, and resentments that travel from one family cycle to the next, most people are lost as to what being in alignment with Divine Will really means. So I created this post and included this active prayer for those who wish to bring their own will into closer alignment with God.
In this active prayer, we are simply acknowledging our own stubbornness, acknowledging that God gave us this stubbornness as a gift, and thanking God for using this same gift of stubbornness to come into alignment with Him — therefore becoming stubborn in our convictions to act and live from the God-like place in each of us.
What a gift our stubbornness is — especially when we bring it into full alignment with acting in ways that honor the principles of love, compassion, mercy, grace, joy, peace, etc. Imagine this: Imagine becoming utterly stubborn and convicted about treating all people with mercy. ALL PEOPLE. Even the people who treat you poorly. Even the people who yesterday you may have thought unworthy. Even the people who would never, ever consider treating you with mercy, dignity, and grace in return. Imagine the gift of using your stubbornness to be more God-like with them… thereby showing them the way.
What a beautifully powerful, love-filled world we would live in.
With loving grace,
