Dear Christina,
How do I stop obsessing over people and things all the time? It’s like my thoughts run away from me and I can’t control them. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have.

Dear Anonymous,
Thank you for writing in; many people have this same issue and so I’m thankful to be able to create a free coaching response to help you all.
In the coaching video (below), I share one of the strategies I use whenever I need to reframe obsessive thoughts and feelings that don’t feel good to have.
I also talk about a lesser-known reason we oftentimes find ourselves obsessing over someone or something. And that is energy! In the video, I teach you how to clear the energy so that you can begin to think only about the people and things you want to think about rather than feeling forced to think about the thoughts and people that you can’t stop thinking about. 🙂
With few exceptions, we all have the power to shift our thoughts and direct them and we have the power to control what we think about and when; we just need to know the tools and strategies that can help. So if your thoughts are running away from you, the information in the video should help you to start gaining control over your mind and thus beginning to control and direct your thoughts as you wish.
Thanks again for writing in. Leave me a comment (below) and/or send me a note here if you have specific obsessive thoughts that you would like me to help you understand in more detail and/or help you to clear.
Here’s your free coaching video:
Here’s a link to another energy hack that may help you to release some of the obsessive thoughts as well; I use this tool every day (at least once, sometimes 3-4 times/day depending on how much is going on).
I’d also recommend that you sign up to receive our newsletter and follow our work because oftentimes obsessive thoughts and feelings are also a learned/subconscious/patterned way of being/coping/avoiding/surviving/self-sabotaging/escaping. But they don’t have to be. You can learn the reasons why you have the thoughts you have and you can change them — with loving kindness for yourself and all others. I believe that much of the work we do can help you — and it would be our honor to be of more service.
With love, gratitude, grit, and grace,
